Seikwa: Chiefs invoke curses on “traditional stools” thieves

The Abusuapanin of the Oyoko Royal Family, Adehyepanin Kwadwo Asubonteng, of the Seikwa Traditional Council Throne has invoked curses on persons who stole two traditional stools and a war cloth

Aside from that, the tomb of Nana Kwaku Dwumah Ankoana II who was murdered on November 5, 2013 in the Tain District of the Brong Ahafo Region was also tampered with and some of the items used to bury him also stolen.

These were uncovered prior to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Nana Kwaku Dwumah Ankoana II.

Following the theft case, Adehyepanin Kwadwo Asubonteng and a number of people from the Traditional Council went to River Seikwa to invoke curses on the alleged thieves .

Speaking on Atinka TV‘s morning show, Ghana Nie, Gideon Asare, A citizen reporter said the whole town had turned upside down because the angry youth took to the streets to demonstrate to demand justice for the Chief who was murdered and as well register their frustrations.

He said the people were unhappy about the fact that after the demise of the Chief in 2013, nothing has been done concerning those who murdered him.

Gideon Asare said calm will be restored if the killers of the chief are brought to book.

Meanwhile, he said the Oyoko Royal Family made it known that the throne room was locked and the keys were kept with the Tain District Security Committee (DiSEC).

He also said the case is under investigation.
