Tema Oil Refinery: Workers demand dissolution of board

Tension is rising at the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) as the General Transport Petroleum and Chemical Workers Union calls for the immediate dissolution of the Board of Directors due to incompetence and alleged underhand dealings.

The aggrieved workers say they cannot guarantee the safety of board members under the current circumstances.

The current TOR Board was constituted some eighteen months ago to among other duties look for strategic partners to revamp the operations of TOR. However, the quest for the board to secure partners according to the workers smacks suspicions.
