Teshie residents hit the streets over bad roads;  give govt two-month ultimatum

Residents of Teshie in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday marched through some principal streets of the town to demand better and motorable roads.

The residents want the government to rehabilitate all bad roads and construct new ones in the community.

They have consequently issued a two-month ultimatum to the government to make sure all roads in the area are motorable.

Areas in the community that deserve attention according to the residents, are Greda Estates, Tsuibleoo, and Teshie Lascala.

The approximately one thousand protesters warned that they would organize another massive demonstration if the situation did not drastically improve.

The protest march was preceded by the submission of a petition to the Chief Priest of Teshie, Numoo Badu Odaan Odiapense I

The residents had already submitted a  petition to the Municipal Chief Executive for Ledzorkuku, Mordecai Quarshie.
