The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta says that there will be no icrease in VAT as has been speculated on social media.
He further noted that in that regard, VAT will thus maintain at 12.5 %.
Presenting the 2018 mid-year budget review on the floor of Parliament Thursday, Ken Ofori Atta advised the Minority to desist from sourcing fiscal policies on social media.
"I would like to advise our friends in the opposition that they should stop taking direction on the economy from social media," he said
