Video: Ghanaians jubilate over lifting of lockdown

Some Ghanaians have defied the social distancing order by jubilating over the decision of government to lift the restrictions of movements imposed on Greater Accra Metropolitan Area and Kasoa, and the Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Area and its contiguous districts.
In a video which went viral on social media right after the President’s declaration Sunday evening, a group of people were seen dancing their hearts out to express their gratitude to the President for lifting the restriction.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Sunday, 19th April, 2020, announced the lifting of the restriction to movements of persons in Accra, Kasoa and Kumasi.
Akufu-Addo said this while delivering the 7th Covid-19 update address Sunday evening.
The President, however, mentioned that all other measures taken as part of efforts to contain and stop the spread of the covid-19 pandemic are still firmly in place, and have not been relaxed.
