The road between Wahaabu and Funsi in the Wa East district in the Upper West Region has been washed away as a result of last night heavy downpour.
The District Director of National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Mr Yussif Zakaria is cautioning all travelers who intend to use the road to Funsi and all other communities beyond the district capital to use the alternative Walimbelee – Nabolo road.
He, therefore, appealed to the authorities to turn their attention to the cry of the people of Wa East.
The District Capital is cut off from the rest of the district.
Gory accident at Bonkra: 3 injured, 1 in critical condition
Two trucks and a Toyota Yarris private car have been involved in a gory accident at Bonkra on the Kumasi- Konongo highway.
The accident left three persons injured with one other in critical condition.
The gory accident occurred around 2 am on Friday dawn.
According to an eyewitness, the accident happened due to wrong overtaking on the part of the Toyota Yarris driver.
He again explained that, several calls made to reach the police to get the cars towed off the road yielded no results.
The situation, the eyewitness said left drivers stranded in traffic for more than 3 hours.
The victims were also rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Relationship coach, Counselor Charlotte Oduro has asserted that what gives men wisdom and drive them to work and make money is sex.
According to her, “If he gets sex, he is able to work well and make money.”
The Counselor made the assertion on Atinka FM’s morning show, AM Drive while discussing relationship issues and the recent killings between spouses.
When asked if it is right for women to deny their husbands sex due to poverty or lack of financial security in the marriage, she said women should rather be supportive and not focus on just money in marriages.
