The Electoral Commission has stated that due to challenges at two Regional collation centres, it is unable to declare the results of the election within intended time.
According to the Chairperson of the EC, Mrs Jean mensa, the Commission has received results from 14 out of 16 regions and is still waiting to receive results from the Northern Region and Bono East to declare the winner of the 2020 election.
