“We can test coronavirus” – Veterinary Service

President of the Ghana Veterinary Medical Technicians Association (VEMTAG), Mr. Emmanuel Eshun, says Veterinary technicians can conduct tests on persons suspected to have contracted coronavirus in Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Mr. Emmanuel Eshun, explained that until 2019 most coronaviruses infected animals, but not people and so veterinary health experts have a part to play in the prevention and spread of the coronavirus epidemic.
Emmanuel Eshun noted that over 60% virus contracted by humans emanates from animals, and so if the Veterinary Service is given the needed support it would help reduce the impact such viruses has on humans.
