Weija MCE, MP commission 11-unit classroom block for Gonsee Basic School

The Municipal Chief Executive of Weija-Gbawe, Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor together with the Member of Parliament, Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah have commissioned and presented to Gonsee Basic School an 11-unit classroom block to enhance quality education.

The fully furnished 11-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities commenced in December and completed within eleven months.

Municipal Chief Executive of Weija-Gbawe, Hon.Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor explained that, the infrastructure is part of government’s agenda to promote free and quality education in the country. 

He encouraged both teachers and pupils to work assiduously to raise the already high standards of education in the municipality and cautioned a maintenance culture.

Mr. Kumor further enumerated projects within the community which are at various stages of completion and promised to see to their completion to serve the people within the Municipality.

Showing his appreciation, he thanked the chiefs and elders for their unflinching support amidst perceived difficulties in the execution of projects in the community.

On her part, Tina Gifty Mensah (MP), the Deputy Minister for Health assured the community of her continuous support adding that, she would do her best to ensure that developmental projects are brought to the people.

Tina Mensah (MP) emphasized on academic excellence and encouraged the pupils to give of their best.

Nii Mensah Kwashie II, the chief of Gbawe Gonsee, in a short address, thanked the President, the MP for the transformation of the school from a wooden structure to the beautiful edifice which all are witnesses to.
