The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer for the 2024 general elections, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured dismissed workers of being given priority consideration for employment opportunities in the next NPP government.
While addressing party faithful and residents during the NPP’s Thank You Tour in Takoradi on Saturday, 26th April 2025, Dr Bawumia acknowledged the hardship experienced by those who had lost their jobs in recent times, speaking with empathy.
“I know how it feels to lose your job, your daily bread,” he said, adding that the NPP recognises the sacrifices many have made and is committed to restoring their livelihoods.
Dr Bawumia stressed that a future NPP administration would implement a robust job creation initiatives targeting those most impacted by current economic challenges.
“I assure you that in the next NPP administration, you will be prioritised for jobs,” Dr Bawumia pledged, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
“The NPP remains focused on revitalising the economy, empowering businesses, and providing sustainable employment for the nation’s youth and displaced workers”he added.
