The Finance Minister, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta says government is set to train 1500 youth in six modules to empower the youth.
The modules he said include transport, App development, satellite installation, cosmetology and dress making.
He said this while reading the Mid Year Budget Statement and Economic Policy on the floor of Parliament on Monday 25th July 2022.
Meanwhile, the Finance Minister said the initiative will be supported under the YouStart programme.
“Developing the youth and sporting infrastructure remains a key objective of government. To empower our youth, we are implementing phase two of the skills towards employment, productivity, to train about 1500 youth in six modules, transport, App development, satellite installation, cosmetology and dress making. With the Consistent government priority policy on building the entrepreneurial nation, these trainings will be supported under the YouStart programme,” he added.
