John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared that change is on the horizon for Ghana in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the NDC campaign launch in Tamale on Saturday, July 27, Mahama emphasized the need for new leadership to address the country’s challenges, rather than relying on those who created the issues.
“We cannot solve problems with the same people who caused the crisis,” he stated.
He also highlighted the severity of the situation, noting, “It is not going to be easy. The more I look at the situation, the worse it appears compared to what the government is telling us. It will require hard work and the cooperation of the entire country.”
Mahama further assured Ghanaians of his commitment to honesty, promising, “I will be truthful to you, I will never tell you lies.”
