Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ellembelle Constituency were treated to a free breakfast ahead of the party’s constituency executive elections, courtesy of party stalwart Bonzo Ewereko.

The initiative, organised under the “BAWUMIA 2028: Possibilities” campaign, provided breakfast for more than 1,325 accredited delegates drawn from the constituency’s 115 polling stations before voting commenced.

The breakfast, which consisted of sandwiches and drinks, was served under banners bearing the inscriptions “BAWUMIA 2028: POSSIBILITIES” and “WIN WITH BAWUMIA.”

Speaking to delegates, Mr Ewereko said the gesture was intended to appreciate the commitment and sacrifices of the party’s grassroots members rather than influence the electoral process.

According to him, the NPP’s success ahead of the 2028 general elections will depend on unity, dedicated service and creating opportunities for young people, women, farmers and fishermen across the Ellembelle Constituency.

He urged party members to remain united as the party reorganises its structures at the constituency level in preparation for the next general elections.

Several delegates who spoke after the event welcomed the initiative, describing it as a demonstration of appreciation and respect for the party’s grassroots supporters.

“This is the first time we have all been treated like this before elections. It shows he respects us and he is ready to serve,” one delegate said.

The breakfast event took place as the NPP continues its nationwide constituency executive elections aimed at strengthening its grassroots structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
