2026 Mid-Year Budget Review

Gold Coast Fund Customers Demand Full Payment

Customers of the defunct Gold Coast Fund Management are calling on the government to fully repay their locked-up investments in the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review.

In a statement issued on July 16, 2026, the group said thousands of affected customers, including pensioners, widows, workers and small business owners, are still facing financial hardship years after the company collapsed.

They said many have struggled to pay medical bills, support their families and keep their children in school.

The customers are urging the government to set aside enough money in the Mid-Year Budget to pay all outstanding claims at once instead of making payments in phases.

They also said President John Mahama had promised during the 2024 election campaign to ensure affected customers were paid within his first year in office.

The group stressed that they are not asking for financial assistance but for the return of their own money. They appealed to the President and the Finance Minister to include full compensation for all affected customers in the upcoming budget review.
