The Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, has joined stakeholders at the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) for the official launch of the Central Securities Depository’s (CSD) investorConnect platform.
The launch, held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, marks another step in the digital transformation of Ghana’s capital market.

The investorConnect platform gives investors digital access to their securities holdings and transaction history, with identity verification through the Ghana Card.
The platform is expected to improve convenience, transparency and access for investors by allowing them to view and verify their ownership of securities digitally.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Asiama said the ability of investors to access and verify information about their investments is critical to building confidence in the capital market.
“Confidence in a market rests on precisely that ability,” he stated.
The BoG Governor, however, stressed that digital access must be supported by financial literacy and strong investor protection measures.
He said investorConnect should provide a foundation for developing the next generation of investor services and further improve the experience of investors in Ghana’s capital market.
The Bank of Ghana congratulated the CSD, its Board, Management and staff on the launch and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of an accessible, inclusive and transparent capital market.
The central bank said it remains committed to initiatives that will contribute to a more vibrant and digitally enabled capital market in Ghana.
