Mills’ legacy critical for the nation’s future – Tsatsu Tsikata

The J.E. A. Mills Memorial Heritage held a memorial lecture themed “The Man John Evans Atta Mills-Ten Years On” at the Accra International Conference Centre on Tuesday, July 26 eulogizing and immortalizing the late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills as part of activities to mark his 10th anniversary for his time on earth and his legacy of upholding integrity.

Giving his speech as the Speaker,  celebrated lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata, gave a brief history of how he knew the former President and how principled, patient, and peaceful he was, earning the title, “Asomdwehene”.

 He also threw light on how united the late president wanted the citizens of Ghana to be when he became president saying he was President for all no matter the political affiliation of other people, therefore, ensuring political unity.

Mr Tsikata added that Prof. Mills’ legacy is critical for the nation’s future as he lived a good life worth to be emulated.

The lecture which was chaired by Nana Otuo Siriboe II, the Chairman of the Council of State and Paramount Chief of the Juaben traditional area and Tsatsu Tsikata (ESQ) being the main speaker had notable people and organizations such as Dr. Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu – National Chief Imam, Archbishop Bonaventure Kwofie – Catholic Archbishop of Accra, Togbe Afede XIV – Chairman of the Advisory Council of the J.E.A. Mills Memorial Heritage, the son of Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, Samuel Atta Mills, some executives and party members of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) and officials who knew and served the former president gracing it.
