AFCON 2023:  We’re  disappointed – Jordan Ayew

Ghana Black Stars striker, Jordan Ayew says the players are not happy with their loss against Cape Verde in their opening game at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Expressing his frustration to the media after the match, the Crystal Palace striker said, “I think we had the game in our hands and we lacked concentration and they scored two sloppy goals. As a team, we need to wake up  in our next game, we can’t always say we are a young team because we have played for two to three years now.”

Touching on Ghana’s next game against Egypt Jordan said “We need to digest this defeat and concentrate on Egypt and correct our mistakes and win the hard way against the Egyptians.

“I have the belief in the team and I know we will become better,” he added.
