Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged his support for former President John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect.
In his concession speech on Sunday, Dr Bawumia emphasized his commitment to facilitating a peaceful transition of power, stressing the significance of unity and cooperation for the stability and development of the nation.
Dr. Bawumia expressed, “I want to assure the people of Ghana and the former President, now the president-elect, of my full support.”
He committed to supporting Mr. Mahama in guiding the nation efficiently, highlighting that a prosperous term for the new administration is crucial for Ghana’s advancement.
Dr. Bawumia urged his supporters and all Ghanaians to honor the election results and unite in support of the incoming government.
“Let us emphasize unity and collaborate as a single nation. He emphasized, “The future of Ghana relies on our united efforts.”
