The Biriwa Market Project in Mfantseman Municipality in Central region which started in 1993 by CEDECOM has been abandoned for years, hindering the economic activities in the area.
Speaking to Atinka News, Assemblyman of the Biriwa Electoral Area, Gilbert Mensah urged CEDECOM, the Assembly and the Contractor to release the project to the community to allocate funds for its completion.
That, according to him will enhance economic activities in the area and also contribute to the generation of funds for the Assembly through tax collection.
Meanwhile, traders and residents have resorted to selling by the roadside, a situation they are not pleased with.
