“Concede now if you know you have no evidence to go to court– Gabby jabs Mahama

Private Legal Practitioner and member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has asked the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, to either go to court with evidence or  concede defeat.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has declared the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, winner of the 2020 Presidential elections.

Akufo-Addo obtained a total of  6,730,413 votes of representing 51.59 % of the total vote cast.

The NDC’s candidate John Dramani Mahama obtained 6, 214, 889  representing 43.6 percent of the total vote cast.

After the declaration of the results by the EC, the NDC has fiercely opposed the outcome, arguing that their candidate John Dramani Mahama is the winner of the polls, per pink sheets in their possession.

There have been series of demonstrations to protest the results of the elections by supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

But in A Facebook post, Private Legal Practitioner and member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, asked Mahama to Stop deceiving supporters if he knows he does not have any evidence to support his claims.

“ Dear John, if you know you don’t have the evidence to go to court please concede now. Stop deceiving your supporters now before any gross harm is done. The real contest on both sides is on Parliamentaries. You know it,” he posted on Facebook.
