Veteran gospel music trio Daughters of Glorious Jesus have reflected on their remarkable 35-year journey in ministry, revealing the origin of their group’s name and the principles that have sustained them through decades of success.
Speaking on Atinka TV’s Ghana Nie Lifestyle segment with Ama Gyenfa, the celebrated group disclosed that Archbishop Akwasi Asare Bediako, founder of Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries International, gave them the name Daughters of Glorious Jesus.
“Archbishop Akwasi Asare Bediako of Resurrection Power gave us our name,” the group revealed.
The trio also spoke about the challenges they have encountered over the years, saying their shared faith and gospel music have kept them united despite difficult moments.
“Challenges came, but our songs continue to strengthen our bond,” they said.
According to the award-winning group, their longevity in the music industry is rooted in staying true to their calling rather than following changing musical trends.
“We don’t chase trends; that’s why we’ve stayed forever young,” they noted.
The gospel icons explained that their focus has always been on delivering timeless messages that inspire and transform lives, a commitment they believe has enabled them to remain relevant across generations.
As they celebrate 35 years of gospel ministry, Daughters of Glorious Jesus continue to be recognised as one of Ghana’s most influential and enduring gospel groups, with a legacy built on faith, consistency and inspirational music.
