Aggrieved customers of Gold Coast Fund Management have announced plans to hold a public gathering and petition President John Dramani Mahama over the payment of their locked-up funds.
The exercise is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the forecourt of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at Osu in Accra from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
According to a statement signed by the Convener of the group, Charles Nyame, buses will transport participants from the gathering point to Jubilee House, where they will present their petition to the President. The group stressed that no protester would walk to Jubilee House.
The aggrieved customers said they had waited for years for the payment of their outstanding funds and were demanding urgent government action.
They have also invited customers of other collapsed financial institutions to join the peaceful action, saying thousands of Ghanaian families were affected by the financial sector crisis.
The group assured the public and security authorities that the gathering would be peaceful, orderly and disciplined.
They have appealed to the media, civil society organisations, religious and traditional leaders, and the general public to support their call for the government to speed up the payment of their locked-up funds.
