Ejisu: Woman allegedly mauled to death by four dogs

Information reaching Atinkaonline.com indicates that four dogs have mauled a 45-year-old woman, Abena Sarpomah to death at Abenase in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

According to the Assembly Member for the area, George Appiah Dwomoh, who spoke with Agyenkwa FM’s Osofoba Kwame Afrifah, the incident happened around 4am today, Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 when the victim was on her way to demand her money from her debtor, Afia Yasu.

He continued that, on her way, the dogs came from nowhere and pounced on the victim and had multiple bites on her till she died.

Her body has since been deposited at the Living Waters Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, Hon. Appiah Dwomoh said the owner of the dogs has refused to admit that his pets caused the death of Abena Sarpomah.

A leading member of the National Coalition For Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Mental Health Service, Dr Akwasi Osei has indicated that only about 0.2% persons are involved in homosexuality in Ghana and for that matter there is no need to entertain them by accepting them as normal.

According to him, homosexuality is a form of mental disorder and asked persons who practise it to seek for help.

Dr Osei was speaking at the public forum on the current anti-gay Bill currently before Parliament.

He further noted that not all abnormalities are mental issues therefore, practicing homosexuals who wish to stop will get help from the coalition and other religious groups.

Founder of the Coalition Lawyer Moses Foh Amoaning also spoke on the attack on human rights with regards to the agenda of the LGBTQ+ Community, urging all to put a stop to that.

In other news: Police officer who sexually harassed lady in a car remanded

The Sunyani District Court B has remanded the police officer who sexually harassed a lady in a car last week.

Suspect, Lance Corporal Victor Antwi Yeboah was captured in a viral video touching the thighs of a lady inappropriately in a car as the victim screamed, ” Why are you touching me?”

The police administration arrested the errant officer after the viral video sparked anger on social media.

Lance Corporal Yeboah is facing charges of assault contrary to Section 84 of the Criminal Offences Act 29 and indecent assault contrary to Section 103 of the Criminal Offences Act 29.

The court presided over by his Worship Eric Denning remanded the officer into police custody on Monday to reappear on Wednesday December 1, 2021.
