President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Rev. Paul Frimpong Manso, has urged prophets in the country to desist from prophesying the outcome of the 2020 election.
He explained that, prophecies by prophets and pastors during election time only brings about fears and tension in the country and must therefore not be entertained.
“Let’s face reality, your prophecies create tension and fears in the country. It hinders development,” he noted.
Rev. Paul Frimpong Manso called on the Christian Council, Catholic Secretariat and other Christian bodies to deal with election prophets.
Rev. Frimpong Manso made the assertions in an interview with Atinka News on the sidelines of this year’s National Executive Council Retreat, Heads of Churches, General Secretaries, Regional Chairmen and National Delegates Conference at the Pentecost Convention Center (PCC) in the Central Region of Ghana on Wednesday.
Rev. Frimpong Manso expressed also worry over recent accidents in the country, describing the development as unfortunate.
He pleaded with the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) to assert their authority on the various highways to help minimize accidents.
Touching on the banking sector, Rev. Frimpong Manso pleaded with government to ensure that any individual whose money has been locked up in any of the collapsed get his or her money back.
“I know government is trying to do its best in addressing the banking crisis but we plead they facilitate the process because people are in distress,” he said.
