I never imagined ‘Eye Nwanwa’ would blow- Guru

Ghanaian rapper and fashion designer, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, known by his stage name, Guru NKZ has stated that he never imagined his new song, “eye nwanwa” could blow out of proportion.

According to him, the song was a freestyle but reached vast number of people few minutes after its release even though it was not yet on music platforms.

He said he waited a week to know how powerful the song would be on social media and was amazed by the number of views and challenge on social media.

He said this on Atinka 104.7 FM’s Atinka Drive with Roman Fada.

Although he was surprised, he said it was not the first time his freestyle song “had blown ” pointing to ‘Bonsam ani’ amongst others.

He admitted that one Awurama started the phrase on Tiktok and he put in his lyrics and people liked it more.

Guru NKZ said his favourite part of the song was the second verse, explaining that most of his songs are done based on feelings and instincts.

“The song itself is wonderful. The whole production, video, editing and everything was ‘someway’ but it came out well,”he said.
Meanwhile, he said his songs have been doing so well, adding that people love them because of the beats.

He admitted that he plays a lot of shows, sometimes five or six in a row, but he does not make a lot of noise about it.
At some point, he said there was a time that he had an accident on his way from one show and instead of going to the hospital, he had to go for the next shows so that he would connect with his fans.

The rapper also admitted that he was into real estate, explaining that he needed to do something profitable aside from music when he decided to go back to school.
