Ken Agyapong: Arrest Frimpong Boateng over missing excavators (video)

Tough-talking Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region, Kennedy Agyapong, has called for the arrest of the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Frimpong Boateng over the questionable disappearance of some excavators and other mining equipment seized as part of the fight against illegal mining.

The fight against illegal mining appears to have hit a snag following revelations that many of the machines seized from illegal miners are being sold for a song. Some of the excavators are allegedly being sold in neighboring Ivory Coast.
Frimpong Boateng has confirmed the disappearance of these machines and subsequently called on the CID to investigate the matter, leading to the arrest of one Ekow Ewusi, the alleged mastermind of the fraudulent act.
Some members of the Minority in Parliament have called for the arrest of Mr. Frimpong Boateng for allegedly being complicit in the matter.
Ken Agyapong entirely agrees with the Minority members, saying the world-acclaimed heart surgeon needs to answer for the missing excavators.
According to him, calling for the arrest of his party members does not necessarily mean he is guilty. “It only means he must provide answers for the missing excavators. I believe he should even resign in the first place,” the NPP firebrand argued.
The business mogul, who was speaking on NET2  TV Friday, said President Akufo-Addo suffered to become president and that the NPP should not allow a few greedy party people to bring the government down.
