Winner of the maiden edition of the Lufart Atinka Radio Icon, Abena Mozeeno says the opportunity to pursue her dream career came at the right time, the right moment and at the right environment which is Atinka Media Village.
She said she wanted the opportunity to enter the media but never got it till Radio Icon came.
Abena Mozeeno emerged winner at the maiden edition of the Lufart Atinka Radio Icon held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Sika Hall inside Atinka Media Village (AMV) Headquarters, Avenor Junction.
She surpassed 53 contestants to become the overall winner.
After 13 weeks of thrilling performances in news reading and presenting, Abena Mozeeno stood out, winning the hearts of the judges and the public.
Abena Mozeeno received a cash prize of GHC5,000, plus a one year working contract with AMV with monthly allowances.
Although she entered the competition as a news caster, at the grand finale, she did music presentation, did highlife songs to win the hearts of the audience.
She also did a show where she spoke about faulty traffic lights, zebra crossing and others.

Speaking with Bernard Lav on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie, Abena Mozeeno recounted how she tried to enter the media through a number of institutions but could not get the chance to enter.
“This opportunity came in at the right time, at the right moment and at the right environment,” she said.
Abena Mozeeno thanked management of Atinka Media Village for the opportunity and also honoured its promises of giving them the opportunity to work with them.
Already, she and the other winners, King Hayford and Kingskid have signed a contract to begin work at Atinka Media Village.
Meanwhile, she said she was ready to deliver to expectations and also learn more on the job.
