Missing excavators miraculously appear

Hundreds of the missing excavators have miraculously found their way to the collection centre.
Days after six people were picked up in connection with the disappeared excavators, the equipment began to show up.
Police CID had begun investigations into the matter, but even before they conclude investigations into the bizarre disappearance, over 300 excavators have mysteriously found their way into the yard of the collating centre at  Madin in Accra.
Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, in an interview, said most of the seized excavators cannot be found – they are missing.

His predecessor John-Peter Amewu had disclosed that a total of 500 excavators had been seized from illegal miners (galamsey) just one year into the fight against the illicit act.
But in the interview monitored by theghanareport.com, Prof. Frimpong Boateng denied the figure saying it was “way below 500 excavators”. He, however, failed to mention the actual number.
News of the missing excavators got many including the media coalition against galamsey and Occupy Ghana raising questions about the minister’s revelation.
Calls were made for the missing excavators to be traced and accounted for while persons responsible for the disappearance of the heavy-duty equipment arrested and prosecuted.
