Mpraeso SHS: Five students remanded over alleged gang rape

Five students who allegedly raped a female student at Mpraeso Senior High School have been Remanded into police custody for 10 days.

The suspects were arraigned before the Nkawkaw District court, presided over by His Worship Isaac Agyei.

They are to reappear on Monday 28th October 2024.

The court has also summoned the Headmaster of Mpraeso School, James Affadu to appear before the court to explain why the case was not reported to the police by the school authorities and why they were not in court.

Furthermore, the court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the other three (3) students at large.

Earlier on Thursday, the court discharged the suspects after detecting that the charge sheet the police prepared did not match the case but they were rearrested by the police and arraigned before court today after corrections were made.
