The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has allayed fears of Ghanaians that there is a scheduled power disruption, popularly known in local parlance as dumsor.
In a statement posted on its Facebook, the state power distribution company clarified that power disruptions being experienced in some parts of the country were local faults.
“While there is No SCHEDULED DUMSOR we are still working to enhance the stability of the power supply,” the ECG clarified.
The ECG regretted the power outages and its impacts on the affected areas of the country.
“We understand the impact this has, and we are actively addressing all issues,” it lamented.
Consequently, the ECG in the statement urged customers facing power disruptions in their areas to call its call centre via 0302611611 or send a DM.
