A pressure group, Ghana First Patriotic Front (GFPF), have today, 28th March 2018, hit the principal streets of Accra to express their displeasure on the Ghana – US military defense cooperation agreement.
The demonstrators are largely supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other political parties.
According to GFPF, the military agreement is a one-sided agreement since it was okayed by a section of Parliamentarians.
Under the agreement, the government will allow the US military unrestrained access to some facilities close to the Kotoka International Airport.
The facilities will be a base where military equipment will be stored for exclusive use by the US military.
