A Group calling itself Young Observers Union is calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to rescind his decision on the total closure of pubs, clubs as well as the ban on events including weddings and shows.
The Group argued that if churches, mosques, schools, vehicles, shopping malls, market centres are operating in full capacity with respect to total observance of the Covid-19 protocols, then, same could be applied to the pubs, clubs etc.
“If private school owners, churches, commercial vehicle operators, shopping mall owners have to survive economically, then it is a sheer discrimination to the operators of pubs and event organizers,” the Group stated.
It added that,” We would like to call on the government to rescind its decision” with regards to the tourism and creative arts sector.
