Winner of Atinka TV’s Tobvital Atinka Kids Dance, Emmanuella Akweley Martey says she was confident to get to the final stage of the Competition because God is always with her.

According to her, she happened to be late for the audition but she was given the chance to audition a week later with few others and she qualified for the competition with #65.

That was out of the 66 contestants that entered the competition.

Despite seeing contestants that were as good as she is, she did not panic because she always knew she was capable.

Throughout the competition, Akweley put up spectacular performances with great energy, not leaving her remarkable costumes behind.

At the Grand Finale, she displayed top-notch performances from the traditional dance to freestyle where she wowed the audience with pallbearers in their costume and coffin.

Emmanuella Akweley Martey emerged winner of Atinka TV’s Tobvital Atinka Kids Dance held at the National Theatre on Sunday.

At the end of three stages of great performances, Green Stars were named 1st runner-ups while Victoria Adjetey was second runner-up.

Promise Maame Yeboah took 4th place while Aaron Adonteng came Fifth.

The winners were chosen based on votes and marks by the judges.

Akweley Martey received a cash prize of GHC10,000 and a set of educational materials including school bags and products from the sponsors of the show.

The first runner-up had GHC8,000 cash prize and a set of educational materials, while the second runner-up received GHC6,000 in cash and a set of educational materials.

In addition to the above, several consolation prizes were given to all 30 contestants.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Abena Dufie, Emmanuella Akweley Martey thanked God for her feat and also thanked the organisers of the show, Atinka Media Village (AMV) for believing in her craft.

Mother of Emmanuella Akweley Martey, Mrs Erica Boakye said she did not think her child would win because she knew despite voting and her girl’s performance, others were also very good.

According to her, she was nervous until the last stage when her daughter’s name was mentioned.

At the interview, Mrs Erica Boakye had lost her voice because she screamed so hard to celebrate her daughter’s win.

She said when she was young, she wanted to be an Actress but her parents could not give her the support and so when she realised her daughter had the potential, she decided to support her with whatever she can to push her to a higher pedestal.

She also thanked God, all Ghanaians, especially those who voted for her daughter, her school, Mepp Academy, Dansoman, her family for their support and also thanked Atinka Media Village for the show.
