Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, running mate to New Patriotic Party (NPP), flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia wasted no time in hitting the campaign trail, emphasizing the party’s commitment to forging strong partnerships with traditional rulers.
His maiden visit to the Wassa Amenfi traditional area was marked by a courtesy call on the esteemed Omanhene, Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, who also serves as the President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs.
Accompanied by notable party figures including the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, as well as the National Organiser of the NPP and several parliamentary candidates from the Wassa constituencies, Dr. Opoku Prempeh expressed his gratitude for the warm reception received from party executives and constituents alike.
In a Facebook post following the visit, Dr. Opoku Prempeh underscored the importance of consolidating the partnership between traditional authorities and political leadership, a vision he attributed to the NPP’s Presidential Candidate, H.E.
