Event planner Maame Esi A. Appiah has identified budget and family influence as major causes of misunderstandings between couples during wedding planning.
Maame Esi A. Appiah explained that, wedding planners should not take instructions directly from family members when those instructions conflict with the couple’s decisions.
Speaking on Atinka TV’s Ghana Nie – Lifestyle, hosted by Ekow Budu Sam, she said couples must ensure that their wedding budget reflects the kind of event they want.
“Planners must work according to the wishes and agreed budget of the couple” – He said.
She noted that couples can negotiate with event centres and other service providers to reduce costs, stressing the importance of strong negotiation skills.
