The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that teachers who successfully passed the recent promotion examination will begin receiving their promotion letters from mid-August, with salary upgrades expected by the end of the month.

In a statement issued on July 28, 2026, GES said it is currently finalising the preparation of promotion letters for all eligible teachers who passed the examination.

According to the Service, the letters will be dispatched to the various Regional Education Directorates from August 15, 2026, for onward distribution to qualified teachers across the country.

GES further indicated that teachers who receive the promotions will be placed on the appropriate salary scales by August 31, 2026.

The Service thanked its staff for their cooperation throughout the promotion process and assured affected teachers that work on the promotion letters is progressing.
