The Deputy National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mimi Duah, has openly declared her support for Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson to become the party’s next National Women’s Organiser.
According to Mimi Duah, Madam Koomson has the experience, leadership qualities and grassroots appeal needed to unite and strengthen the party’s women’s wing ahead of the 2028 general elections.
She described Koomson as a “grassroots mother” who promotes forgiveness, unity and guidance, adding that her ability to resolve disputes would help bring aggrieved party members together.
Mimi Duah also highlighted Koomson’s extensive political experience, including her previous roles as a constituency women’s organiser, Member of Parliament and Minister of State.
She further praised Koomson’s resourcefulness and ability to build networks, lobby for logistical support and create opportunities for training and financial assistance for women organisers.

Mimi Duah said the NPP, currently in opposition, needs a bold, fearless and assertive woman to inspire its regional, constituency and polling station organisers as the party reorganises for the 2028 elections.
“We need a Women’s Organiser who has been tested, who is bold, who understands grassroots women, and who can lead us to victory in 2028,” she said.
She concluded that Mavis Hawa Koomson is the leader capable of delivering that victory.
