The campaign of the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK), received another major boost in the Upper East Region as delegates, party officers and grassroots leaders turned out in large numbers to engage him on his vision for rebuilding the Party ahead of the crucial 2026 National Delegates Conference.

The JFK Campaign Team was warmly received by the Upper East Regional leadership led by Regional Chairman, Lawyer Anthony Namoo, together with Regional Second Vice Chairman, BB Moses; Regional Secretary, Elvis Figo Awonekai; Regional Youth Organizer, Salahu-Deen Musah; Regional Women Organizer, Georgina Ayamba; Regional Nasara Organizer, Salley Musah Delwinde; Deputy Regional Nasara Organizer, Mumuni Issifu; Deputy Regional Youth Organizer, Clifford Ayaric; and Dr. Daniel Ziba, Regional Research and Elections Officer.

The warm reception reflected the spirit of unity and mutual respect that has characterized Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong’s nationwide engagement with delegates.

Addressing delegates across the region, JFK outlined his vision for consolidating the institutional reforms initiated under his tenure as General Secretary, strengthening the Party’s grassroots structures, improving internal organization, and positioning the NPP to return to government in 2028.

He emphasized that the next General Secretary must be a leader with proven track record, an understanding of the Party’s operational architecture, and the capacity to unite every level of the organization behind a common purpose.

Delegates welcomed the message with enthusiasm, describing it as practical, forward-looking, and responsive to the challenges confronting the Party. Many expressed confidence in the direction outlined by the General Secretary and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting a leadership they believe can consolidate the Party’s gains and lead the NPP into a stronger future.

Adding a rich cultural touch to the engagements, delegates at two separate locations honoured Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong with the presentation of the traditional Batakari (Fugu)—a symbolic gesture of respect, appreciation and confidence. The presentation underscored the strong bond between the General Secretary and the grassroots, while reflecting the warmth with which his campaign has been received across the Upper East Region.

As the nationwide campaign gathers pace, the Upper East Region has added its voice to the growing call for continuity, experience and purposeful leadership.

The momentum behind the JFK campaign continues to build, reinforcing the belief among many party faithful that the leadership choices made in 2026 will be decisive in preparing the New Patriotic Party for victory in the 2028 general election.
