The Member of Parliament for Yapei/Kusawgu and Energy Minister, John Abdulai Jinapor, has announced the commencement of construction of an ultra-modern community centre at Mpaha in the constituency.
Mr Jinapor made this known in a social media post after joining the management of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) for a groundbreaking ceremony for the project.

According to him, the facility will serve as a focal point for youth development and civic engagement in the community.
Beyond entertainment and recreation, the centre will provide a hub for youth mentorship and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training.

Mr Jinapor said the project would create opportunities for young people to develop relevant skills and actively contribute to the development of the Yapei/Kusawgu Constituency.
He expressed his appreciation to the GNPC Foundation for undertaking the project and committing to complete it within six months.

The community centre is expected to provide a dedicated space for youth programmes, skills development, recreation and civic activities when completed.
