Ayawaso West Wuogon MP donates to University of Ghana

The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has presented a vehicle and two motorbikes to University of Ghana.
The Member of Parliament stated that the act is in line with measures by President Akufo Addo to resource the University of Ghana and the Ghana Police to tighten security and eliminate the mounting security challenges on the university campus.
According to the MP the vehicle and motorbikes is to aid the University in conjunction with Ghana Police to increase visibility of security and enhanced security patrols on campus.
Henry Nana Boakye (National Youth Organizer) and some Executives from Ayawaso West Wuogon accompanied the MP to donate the vehicles.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu together with some key members of the University administration were present to receive the donation on behalf of the University.
He acknowledged the contributions of the government to the sustained growth of the university and called for more of such interventions.
Representatives of the students, Isaac Agyeman and Christian Atadika expressed gratitude for what they described as a timely intervention and pledged their readiness to work with me for the betterment of students’ welfare on campus.
Lydia Seyram Alhassan, promised her support and commitment to enhance teaching and learning in an atmosphere of peace and calm.
The team followed up with a visit to the affected student, Mr. Daniel Osei, at the 37 Military Hospital.
