The family of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka has dismissed reports suggesting that his funeral will take place this weekend, insisting that no burial arrangements have been finalized.

Speaking in an interview on Atinka TV’s Ghana Nie morning show with Ama Gyenfa and Ekow Budu Sam, the Family Secretary, Dr. Philip Siaw Kisi-Kantanka, stated that the family will officially announce the funeral date when the appropriate time comes.

“There will be no funeral for Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka this weekend. The family will announce the official burial date at the appropriate time,” he said.

Dr. Kisi-Kantanka also alleged that Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo has shown disrespect towards the family throughout the ongoing developments following the death of the renowned industrialist and founder of the Kantanka Group.

According to him, members of the family have still not been granted access to the mortal remains of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

“To date, no family member has had access to the mortal remains of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. The body remains in the custody of Hon. Adwoa Safo,” he claimed.

He further expressed concern over the prolonged custody of the body, saying the situation has fueled public speculation.

“From what is happening, the family will be made to believe the rumors making rounds that Adwoa Safo wants her late father’s fingers and hair for some supreme powers,” Dr. Kisi-Kantanka alleged.

The remarks come amid ongoing public interest surrounding funeral arrangements for the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. As of now, there has been no public response from Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo regarding the claims made by the Family Secretary.
