Finance Minister, Ofori Atta, says the Ghana Cedi is relatively stable as compared to reports that the cedi is on a free-fall movement

He stated, "cumulatively the cedi appreciated by 0.2% on the Interbank market against the US Dollar in the first five months.

According to him, the main goal of the government’s macroeconomic policy is to deepen macroeconomic stability, grow the economy, create jobs and ultimately move the country beyond aid.
