Sulemana Abdul-Samed, popularly known as Awuche and widely regarded as Ghana’s tallest man, has passed away.
NTV News has gathered that he died in the early hours of Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. The exact cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed.
Before his death, Awuche had been receiving medical treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital after appealing for public support to undergo surgery on his leg.
He battled the condition for some time until the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners, Ibrahim Mahama, stepped in to fully cover the cost of his medical treatment.
