Samuel Kojo Brace, an aspirant seeking to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahanta West Constituency, has declared that he possesses the grassroots strength, experience and political strategy required to lead the party to victory in the constituency in the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Brace said his campaign is firmly rooted in the grassroots, insisting that the NPP can only reclaim Ahanta West through sustained engagement with ordinary party members, polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, community leaders and supporters across the constituency.
“I am the only candidate who can diminish the NDC from Ahanta West,” he declared, adding that his confidence is based on his close relationship with the grassroots and his understanding of the concerns confronting party members and residents.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Brace said a successful parliamentary campaign must begin long before the general election, stressing that the party needs to strengthen its structures at the polling-station level and ensure that every committed NPP member feels valued and involved in the political process.
“Victory does not begin on election day. Victory begins at the polling station, in our communities and through the confidence we build among our people.
He added that “I have spent time with the grassroots, listened to them and understood what they expect from the next parliamentary candidate”.
Samuel Kojo Brace also placed strong emphasis on unity within the NPP, saying internal divisions and disagreements must not be allowed to undermine the party’s chances of defeating the NDC.
He called on all aspirants, delegates and supporters to put the collective interest of the party ahead of individual ambitions.
“We must unite before we can win. After the primaries, there should be no winners and losers; there should only be one NPP. I am prepared to work with everybody because our common objective must be to strengthen the party and defeat the NDC in 2028,” he stated.
He indicated that his approach would be inclusive, promising to reach out to party members who may feel disconnected from the constituency’s political activities and create opportunities for young people, women, professionals and other grassroots supporters to play meaningful roles in the campaign.
He further urged delegates to look beyond personal relationships and consider which aspirant has the capacity to mobilise effectively across the constituency, unite the party’s various factions and attract floating voters.
