Kwabenya attack

ACP Kwesi Ofori, Director of Public Affairs, Ghana Police Service, has warned persons fond of attacking police stations to be prepared to face the full wrath of the law.

This statement comes after the Kwabenya District Police Command on Friday shot to death an assailant who stabbed two police officers in the head.

A report from the Police explained that before being shot, the deceased, Hakimi, had attacked three persons and threatened to kill them.

The individuals fled to the Kwabenya Hills Valley Police Station to seek refuge, but the assailant chased them to the station with a knife.

According to the Police, the Station officer and the Investigator decided to protect the individuals, but the deceased stabbed the officers multiple times in the head.

This is the second time a suspect has attacked a police officer this year.

In January a police officer with the Berekum Station in the Bono Region, General Sergeant Bright Oduro was stabbed to death by Yaw Prepra, a suspect in a case being investigated by the police.

According to the police in a statement, the violent suspect was also shot and killed in the process.
