LGBTQ+: Kwesi Botchway Jnr. commends Bawumia for taking bold stance

National Communications Team Member of the New Patriotic Party, Kwesi Botchway Jnr., has commended the Vice President of the republic Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for declaring his stance on LGBTQ+.

According to Kwesi Botchway Jnr., this is one of the boldest and modest statements made by any politician in the country.

“In fact, this is one of the boldest declarations by any politician in this 4th republic. It is clear and needs no explanation. He said he doesn’t support the act.

On Atinka TV’s Morning Show, Ghana Nie hosted by Ama Gyenfa, Kwesi Botchway Jnr., therefore urged other aspirants to come clearer with their stance.

“We can all testify that Former President Mahama’s declaration at the Assemblies of God Church, is questionable because he wasn’t clear. His words were conditional. Mahama’s declaration was not bold enough as Dr. Bawumia’s.”

He urged Ghanaians to have trust in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and give him the chance to lead the country into the promised land, considering his digitalization drive.

Kwesi Botchway Jnr., added that, NPP is more accountable to Ghanaians than the NDC which he backed with Government’s Performance Tracker

“Performance Tracker is a game changer. Every Ghanaian has access to the performance tracker and this is accountability. The NDC’s green book was only shared to few ministers because the things in the book are fictitious and 419 projects’

The government has launched a Performance Tracker, which is an accountability tool in the form of a database showing the performance of the government through various projects executed across the country from 2017 to June 2023.

Kwesi Botchwey said, there are projects still ongoing and the tracker will make room to update Ghanaians.

“This feature can’t be done in a book. To put together over 16,000 project is not an easy job and we urged Ghanaians to draw our attention to any error, because all the projects exist”.
