M.anifest pulls off massive performance at 2023 M.anifestivities  (PHOTOS)

It was a few minutes past 21:00 hours GMT when five emerging musicians had already performed at the M.anifestivities, an annual event organized by Ghanaian HipHop Pro, Kwame Ametefe Tsikata, also known as M.anifest.

Some patrons were enjoying the breeze far away from the stage until the amazing entry by the godMC.

“Ɔmɔ dwen sɛ ma da, but they lie bad” – M.anifest pulled up from a blackout stage to pour some hard bars on his die-hard fans.

Patrons who were purchasing food and drinks from the vendors abandoned what they were doing and ran toward the stage to cheer god MC.

The 2023 M.anifestivities attracted over one thousand music lovers from all over.

It featured many artists from Ghana and Nigeria, including Reggie Rockstone, King Promise, Bisa Kdei, and Cina Soul among others.

After the powerful performance of songs from the Apae album, Reggie Rockstone quickly joined M.anifest on stage to perform the “Plan Ben” songs, and the patrons jammed with them.

Bisa, after performing W’ani Aba with M.anifest, added two of his hits – “Mansa” And “Brother Brother”.

King Promise did not go straight with his feature with M.anifest. M.anifest left the stage for King Promise, who began with the “Terminator” hit song, after which he was joined again by M.anifest for the “Me Ne Woa” performance. The two also gave  m.anifans something small from their yet-to-released song.

The event was full of  creativity and suspense

Cina Soul came on the stage through Cyr wheel (rim), hung in the air and at that moment, I saw almost all the phone cameras on and high in the air, recording the amazing entry. It was amazing.

Ghanaian multilingual singer, rapper, songwriter, and music producer, Worlasi, brought another aspect of the show to life – the Africanist style. He entered with the “Nukata” song, with his dancers matching them with some break moves on the stage. M.dot joined him to perform the Cucaracha. The response was great.

“This combination has never been 20%” – M.anifest said to the crowd, and the crowd responded “100%”.  This perfectly introduced their next song “100%” and it was a jam for everyone around.

As if the show was about to end, the band switched to the MTTU album and started playing “Game Over”.  M.dot raised the mic to the crowd and enjoyed them singing the chorus sung by Adekunle Gold. “… Say badman don give up, game over… No apologies I’m in love” – The crowd chanted.

Nigeria’s Ladepoe joined the stage and killed the show.  He performed for over 20 minutes and the fans asked for more. He then took off his shirt and drove the show until M.anifest came in to introduce the #NextGen Challenge Finalists. Their flows were fantastic, and they indeed left the message that the future of hip-hop in Ghana is brighter than we think.

Before M.anifest announced the closure of the show, everybody was wondering why the Asaka Boyz had not been featured.

However,  a minute after the announcement, the MC announced “Asaka Boyz”. They took over the stage and killed the show until the last person left the Untamed Empire.

Personnel from the various security agencies were there in numbers to provide security to the ultimate expectation. No theft case was recorded.
