National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, has stated that ex-president John Dramani Mahama possesses the requisite experience, competence, and discipline to lead Ghana out of the current economic mess brought about by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said the current economic hardship Ghanaians are facing confirms the ruling government led by Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia has failed.
In an interview on Atinka 104.7 FM’s AM Drive with host Nana Yaw Fianko on Tuesday, April 4, 2024, Mr. Opare Addo said, the former president demonstrated his ability by successfully running the nation while in office.
“If we will recall, inflation in 2015 had started coming down and Ex-President John Mahama confidently declared that 2017 would be Ghana’s best year, and truth be told, the current government reaped what they never planted in 2017 yet they failed to manage it well,” he said.
He added that Ex-President John Mahama was on the path to transforming Ghana in the area of educational infrastructure, roads, hospitals, and other projects across the country after tackling challenges like “Dumsor” and Ebola, but was unfortunately voted out in the 2016 elections.
Opare Addo added that Ghanaians now understand that Mahama is the preferable choice.
“If you need a Messiah, who else can it be if not John Mahama given the plight of the nation right now? John Mahama is the best candidate to rebuild our country given how badly the NPP’s Nana Addo and Bawumia have damaged it.
