The Made in Ghana Campaign Ambassador, Emelia Arthur has advised all made in Ghana producers to take advantage of the COVlD-l9 crises to produce more sanitizers and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to save the nation.
She noticed that currently, hand sanitizers can be produced in Ghana likewise all other things.
She made this remarks following the current outbreak of the pandemic Coronavirus disease which has overtaken the state of affairs of the nation and claiming more lives across the world.
According to Emelia Arthur, “As we follow all the health protocols issued by the Ghana Health Service, the Ministry of Health and World Health Organitation (WHO) by washing our hands frequently with soap under a running water, the cost and patronage of hand sanitizers has increased. Huge amounts are being spent on purchasing PPE. This is due to its importation from the lntcmational market.”
She was therefore of the view that sooner than later, all imported PPE will get finished if Ghana keeps relying on foreign products, hence the need to locally produce PPE.
