Shatta -Stonebwoy fracas 'disgraceful' – Kwesi Pratt

The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has described the brawl between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy at the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) held at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) as disgraceful.
Dancehall Artiste, Stonebwoy, born Livingston Satekla allegedly pulled a gun at the VGMA after being allegedly attacked by Shatta Wale.
Stonebwoy was called to receive an award for the best Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year for the fifth time running.
According to reports from the Accra International Conference Center (AICC), Shatta Wale who was furious over the award angrily decided to climb the stage despite restraints from security at the venue.
Stonebwoy was seen in a video that has gone viral on social media pulling a gun in the  midst of the scuffle.
Speaking to Kakyire Ofori Ayim on Atinka AM Drive, Kwesi Pratt Jnr expressed his displeasure with the fact that violence has become the only solution to issues in the country from politics, sports and entertainment.
The social commentator described the incident as a recent phenomenon which has been exported to  Ghana’s music industry.
“I don’t know but what is the essence of creating these violent groups to support artistes? What is the country turning into? What has music got to do with violence. Electorates have been advised to desist from political vigilantism not to talk of musicians who do not have social policies for their fans,” he concluded.
